This week I had 5 students attend the review sessions. We mostly covered mostly uniform circular motion, but also reviewed frictional forces--stressing the importance of free-body diagrams. The students seemed to struggle a bit with the concept of centripetal force more than I had anticipated. Hopefully I was able to clear up any conceptual misunderstandings they had.
I also went over the exam 1 questions with a couple students. I found that a large amount of their mistakes came not because they didn't know how to solve the problem, but because they misread the question (or solved for velocity instead of acceleration, etc.). These are mistakes they can hopefully avoid in the future.
