02.03 - 02.09

The class had their exam last Friday ... it seems to have gone well for many students. This week's lectures covered Gauss' Law and Electric Potential. As far as office hours, two students stopped by on Wednesday with a couple Sapling questions. One question related to the Shell Theorem; I was able to explain this in a way that made it more clear exactly when E = 0. The other question required the use of Gauss' law. There wasn't enough time to solve the entire problem, so I helped them set it up so that they could substitute values on their own. It's nice having access to Sapling so I have the chance to at least look at the questions beforehand.
