This week I prepared
for office hours by reviewing the homework assignment. I had one student show up
for my second hour of the week. She needed help mostly with solving systems of equations algebraically but also combining multiple concepts to solve problems (notably conservation of total mechanical energy and conservation of momentum).
The
group problems in class are going very well. Challenging the students' thoughts and getting them to apply different aspects of the conceptual material is becoming more and more of a strong suit of mine. I also assisted in my first demonstration in class last week, one regarding angular momentum.
